About Julia Metlay

As a huge nerd, I cannot hide my unbridled enthusiasm for learning and applying new ideas in my work. To me, exploring neurological mechanisms is truly living the dream, which is why laboratory-based research quickly became my raison d'etre in college. I have extensive experience in neuroscience research on human subjects investigating neural correlates to conscious phenomena. As an ENTJ, I am pragmatic and solutions-oriented in my thinking. I am a natural leader and I thrive in both group and solitary working environments. As a current COA, I am currently working with one of the only corneal specialists in the northern part of the state and thoroughly enjoying the fascinating cases we see every day. I take pride in providing excellent patient care in a specialized field.
