About Julia Pinckney

I am an animal behavior consultant, positive animal trainer, and animal welfare specialist with a background in shelter animal work and a special interest in feline behavior and welfare. My peers know me for my work to promote the human-animal bond as a means of well-being for both pets and their caretakers, positive reinforcement training, and low-stress handling techniques. My studies and previous experience in animal behavior, welfare, biology, and medicine have allowed me to gain direct experience in training animals and their caretakers in many contexts, from clinical to shelter settings. I want to help pet owners and the public truly appreciate their animals by understanding their behavior and needs - and keep learning along the way!
