About Julia Rooth

I am a recent graduate of the University of Toronto, where I obtained my Master of Information in Library Information Science with a specialization in Sexual Diversity Studies. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, majoring in Popular Music and Culture with a minor in Creative Writing. I am currently working part-time as a Reference Assistant at UTSC Library, as well as a Metadata Assistant with U of T’s central libraries. Professionally, I have past experience in communications and social media, data entry, administration, customer service, management, and sales. I graduated from the University of Western Ontario on Dean's Honor Roll and received recognition from the English department on my written work (including being published in Occasus in 2017, PRISM in 2020, as well as being chosen as the winner of the Alfred Poynt 2020 Poetry Award), and spent my final year on Theatre Western’s executive team as their Social Media Coordinator. I am looking for a full-time career in the Library and Information Sciences field, and believe my combination of education and experience has prepared me for any role.
