About Julia Ruscio

Passionate about gerontology, policy, and social justice, I am a dedicated graduate student at Miami University pursuing a Masters of Gerontological Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. My academic journey began at Mercyhurst University, where I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Additionally, I was an active member of the NCAA D2 women's field lacrosse team at Mercyhurst, balancing my academic pursuits with full-time student-athlete commitments. I am driven by a desire to contribute to a society that values and supports older adults, and I am excited to leverage my multidisciplinary education and hands-on experience to make a meaningful impact. Open to collaboration and connection, I welcome conversations with fellow professionals who share these passions.
