About Julia Rybicki

My career in accounting began at age 15 when I learned accounts payable and payroll for a small business. I worked my way through college as a switchboard operator, patient registrar and accounting assistant for a small hospital. There I "wore several hats" including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger account reconciler. These positions created a passion for accounting as a career years ago. My accounting became more specialized as the organizations I worked for grew - Medicare cost reporting, Community Benefit reporting, Fixed Asset management, acting as a financial advisor to a group of department managers. Roles that I have enjoyed include supporting managers with accounting: budgets, revenue and expense capture, variance explanation, general ledger corrections. I have enjoyed acting as an Accounts Payable specialist and training others to process invoices and check requests. I like general ledger coding, account reconciliations and being part of a team.
