About Julia S.

As a lifelong team player, I’ve always found inspiration in collaboration—whether it was on the field, in the classroom, or communications roles. From ages 3-14, I played soccer, learning firsthand the power of teamwork, leadership, and the importance of building community. These experiences have instilled core values of inclusivity, diversity, creativity, and equity that continue to shape my work as I pursue a career in public relations and strategic communications. Since stepping into social media communications in 2021, I’ve channeled my passions for creative problem-solving and storytelling into a professional career. As a Social Media Coordinator and undergraduate Public Relations student at the University of Oregon, I’ve honed my ability to develop and execute strategic communications strategies, engage diverse audiences, and work collaboratively to achieve shared goals. Through my role as a Co-President of the Taylor Swift Society at the University of Oregon, I’ve learned that an effective leader is rooted in empathy, inclusivity, and open communication. I’m determined to use my skills to make a positive impact and build connections wherever I go. My ultimate career goal is to become a public relations manager for a professional women’s sports team, where I can blend my love for sports with my expertise in communications. I’m passionate about using my role to help amplify athletes' voices, engage fans, and drive brand growth while upholding a focus on inclusivity and equity. At my core, I’m driven by the belief that effective communication can unite people and spark meaningful change.
