ENGLISH BELOW - Mijn naam is Julia Schuring en momenteel werk ik als redacteur en video-editor bij PnP Media en de Universiteit van Nederland. Ik kan enthousiast raken voor meerdere dingen, maar mijn passies liggen voornamelijk in de wetenschap, de communicatie en het creatieve. Ik zie mezelf als een spin in het web met zowel inhoudelijke, analytische, als artistieke kwaliteiten. Met een master in Kosmologie en Wetenschapscommunicatie heb ik mij ontwikkeld tot kritisch en detailgericht persoon met een sterke nieuwsgierigheid voor de wereld om mij heen. Als wetenschapscommunicator ben ik bedreven in het vertalen van complexe wetenschap naar toegankelijke informatie, en het bevorderen van waardevolle dialoog tussen wetenschap en samenleving. Met mijn liefde voor muziek, film en fotografie probeer het artistieke in alles wat ik doe mee te nemen: esthetiek en creativiteit zijn belangrijk voor mij. Ik heb affiniteit en ervaring met hoger onderwijs en onderwijsprocessen, het verbinden van wetenschap en samenleving en het maken van (wetenschappelijke) creatieve content. Ik zou mezelf omschrijven als enthousiast en leergierig, met uitstekende analytische, administratieve en communicatieve vaardigheden. Ik ben proactief, resultaatgericht en werk nauwkeurig – zowel in teamverband als zelfstandig- My name is Julia Schuring and I am currently working as a (video) editor at PnP Media and the Universiteit van Nederland. I can get excited about many things, but my passions primarily lie in science, communication, and creativity. I see myself as a spider in the web with both substantive, analytical, and artistic qualities. With a Master's degree in Cosmology and Science Communication, I have developed a critical and detail-oriented view with a strong curiosity about the world around me. As a science communicator, I am skilled at translating complex science into accessible information and promoting valuable dialogue between science and society. With my love for music, film, and photography, I try to incorporate my artistic skills into everything I do: aesthetics and creativity are important to me. I have an affinity for and experience with higher education and educational processes, bridging science and society, and creating (scientific) creative content. I would describe myself as enthusiastic and eager to learn, with excellent analytical, administrative, and communication skills. I am proactive, results-oriented, and work accurately – both in a team and independently.
