About Julia Snider

doctoral student / educator / learner / mom / coach / reader / traveler / cat lover /#Queensu & #McGill alumna I'm an experienced school leader with a demonstrated history of developing curriculum, leading faculty and fostering positive school culture. I am skilled in curriculum design, instructional coaching, developing sound literacy and assessment policy and practices. I collaboratively establish systems and processes to support faculty in professional growth and development, using data to drive the work. I oversee strategic planning, supporting the implementation, monitoring, adjusting and communication of that continuous school improvement with all community members. It’s important to me to have intentional, thoughtful structures and systems to support inclusive student and professional learning. I am a graduate of McGill and Queen's universities, with a Master in Education concentrating on Assessment & Evaluation. My training as an Ontario licensed principal has supported me in the many problems of practice we face as a leadership team. I am currently a Doctoral student at the University of Western Ontario in the field of Educational Leadership inquiring into professional learning structures and their relationship to teacher voice and leadership in international schools.
