About Julia Speirs
I completed my Bachelor of Commerce Degree (BCom) at the University of Victoria in the summer of 2020, followed by the completion of my Practical Nursing Diploma at Okanagan College in late 2021. I then worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at my local hospital on an inpatient medical ward for a few years prior to my admittance to the University of British Columbia's Southern Medical Program (SMP) in Kelowna, BC, which I started in August of 2024. As I pursue this new career path in healthcare, I am excited to continue to gain experience, explore different career opportunities, learn more about the healthcare system and form professional relationships with my peers, professors and preceptors.
