About Julia Tomei-Schaefer

Julia brings more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry to her role at Vital Planning Group, where she is focused on building strong, long-term relationships and helping clients achieve their financial goals. Prior to joining the team in 2025, Julia served as Executive Director at UBS Global Wealth Management, where she was the lead sustainable and impact investing product specialist and was named co-chair of the firm’s Women’s Network. She holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, life and health insurance licenses, and earned the Chartered SRI Counselor® (CSRIC®) designation. Julia’s approach is rooted in education and empowerment. She works with clients to understand their financial goals, life priorities, and aspirations—developing tailored strategies that help protect and grow her clients’ wealth over time. She has a passion for working with women and pre-retirees and is committed to making finance more approachable and accessible. Raised in West Windsor, NJ, Julia now lives in Harrington Park with her husband, Joseph, and their two daughters, Abigail and Penelope. Outside of work, she’s an avid baker. Her role at Vital Planning Group also reflects a meaningful continuation of a family legacy, working alongside her father, Alex Tomei to serve clients with the same values-driven, relationship-first philosophy that has long defined his practice.
