Fun facts:Julia’s. Great Great Grandfather was the Mayor of Christchurch and purchased Kate Sheppard's home directly from her in 1902. Her family owned the Kate Sheppard House for 40 years. Another Grandfather, reported to General MacArthur in WW2 in the Pacific, he also stole Japanese intelligence cameras' and equipment which were stored at his Photography studio until 2008, they are now on display at the Auckland Museum. Her Mother Jennifer was one of the first within a group of women to complete Outward Bound in the 1970's.Julia nearly burnt down St Mary's Church by accident 24 hours before Sir Edmund Hillary's funeral - note: Linseed Oil is flammable when polishing church pews.
