About Julia Veerman

As a member of RWDI's Applied Climatology team, Julia has expertise in the statistical analysis of meteorological data and the determination of code compliant design values. Among many other contributions, she creates wind, snow and temperature climate models that support the high quality of our wind, pedestrian and thermal comfort studies. Julia originally joined RWDI in Vancouver in 2011 as a member of the Air Quality group. In this role, Julia’s work included the application of state-of-the-art regulatory models such as CALPUFF, for large- scale environmental impact assessments of surface mines and oil and gas facilities in BC and Alberta. Her involvement in the technical aspects of environmental projects also included ambient air quality monitoring, emission inventories, GIS analysis, and GHG emission estimates. She is experienced in meteorological modelling and data analysis for problems in air pollution meteorology. At RWDI, Julia works with clients to provide the practical and cost-effective solutions that are required to maintain and improve environmental performance.
