About Julia Williamson

Hi there, my name is Julia and I'm a software engineer! In 2023 I graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.A. in Philosophy & Biology; while studying, I worked as a TA, a tutor, a communications intern, and I did independent board game design work. In my junior year at UVM I decided to take a Python course for fun, and I loved it so much that I spent a year teaching myself to code with free online resources. After graduating I enrolled in Rithm School, a 17-week full stack web development bootcamp. At Rithm, I had the opportunity to solidify my understanding of different technologies and frameworks, and I got the chance to complete a Rithm-led internship on a team of 9 fellow SWEs. During the internship, we used AGILE methodologies to debug and add features to 'Student Information System'(SIS), a commercial product produced by Rithm that allows schools to manage their curriculae and admissions. Some of the technologies I worked with while at Rithm include- JavaScript - HTML / CSS - React - Python - Flask - Django - Vitest I'm proud to say I'm now on the job search for a full stack software engineering role. If you're looking for SWEs on your team, or you know someone who is, I'd love to connect. You can find me at GitHub here: https://github.com/jswwWorks Thanks for taking the time to check out my page!
