About Julia Zagorski

I am a junior studying biotechnology and molecular biology in the STEM honors program at Kean University, Union NJ. Through the use of GCMS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), I have been researching the medicinal components found in the Salix Alba plant. Additionally, I have interned at North Carolina State University under PI Jun Ohata, where I was taught protein/peptide modification in non-aqueous media, analysis with LCMS (Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), organic synthesis and analysis with NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance). With that, I also studied the use of Gaussian, Hazel, WinSCP for the computational purpose of my research. A B.S. in Science and Technology Molecular Biology and a M.S in Biotechnology Sciences are the degrees I am aiming towards. I am a motivated individual that works hard to advance my knowledge in the mass spectrometry industry to be prepared for graduate school and the workforce.
