About Julia Zolis

With a Master of Arts in Art History from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, I have a strong academic background and a passion for curating, educating, and preserving art and culture. I have developed exceptional communication, research, and problem-solving skills through my studies and work experiences in the museum and gallery sector. As a Programs and Curatorial Assistant at Uxbridge Historical Centre, I plan, design, implement, and manage educational and community-based museum programs, events, and workshops. I also train and supervise staff and event volunteers, and maintain and oversee the museum archives and collections. I have successfully created, advertised, and sold-out multiple community-based events, as well as implemented fun and educational summer programming for 40 children. I am motivated by the opportunity to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for art and history with diverse audiences and to contribute to the preservation and promotion of the heritage of Uxbridge.
