As a Partner at Daniel Law, a lead IP firm in Brazil I work with clients from various market segments, such as tech, automotive, pharmaceutical, education, and entertainment, to provide expert legal advice and guidance on intellectual property (IP) issues. I have been working in the IP field since 2014, and I specialize in trademark, unfair competition, entertainment law, e-commerce, copyright, domain name, and trade name matters. My practice focuses on developing comprehensive trademark strategies and monitoring administrative proceedings before the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (BPTO), including preparing and filing oppositions, administrative nullity actions, appeals, and replies. I also have experience in extrajudicial settlements, negotiations with third parties, and drafting IP-related agreements. I am also responsible to assist in conducting and reviewing trademark availability searches and clearance opinions. I am expert in advising and filing domain name disputes (UDRP) and takedown notices before social media platforms. I am passionate about helping clients protect and leverage their IP assets, and I am always looking for innovative and creative solutions. I am fluent in English and Portuguese, and I have an intermediate level of Spanish. I hold a postgraduate degree in IP law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and several certifications in the areas of Intellectual Property, Digital Law, Entertainment law, Data Protection, Data & Cybersecurity and Technology Transfer Agreements. I have been recognized by Managing IP as a Rising IP Star in 2019 and as a Notable Practitioner in 2022 and 2023. I am also an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and of the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), serving in different committees.
