About Juliana Mansur

Nephrologist | Dedicated to Glomerulonephritis Knowledge and Care I am a Nephrologist, M.D, Ph.D. with a specialized focus on Glomerulonephritis. During my journey, I pursued a master's degree in Lupus Nephritis and a Ph.D. in Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis and Kidney Transplantation. As a clinician, I have the privilege of caring for patients dealing with chronic kidney disease, diverse glomerular conditions, and kidney transplant recipients. In my role as a principal investigator, I have actively engaged in sponsored clinical studies, enrolling patients in phase II, and IV trials focused on glomerular diseases. My professional journey has been enriched by my experiences at the Glomerulonephritis Outpatient Department, a reference for glomerular disease expertise in Brazil. Here, we engage with approximately 40 patients weekly, delivering specialized care and pushing the boundaries of our understanding. Further, I am honored to be part of an exceptional academic institution, Hospital do Rim, São Paulo, Brazil, affiliated with UNIFESP (Federal University of Sao Paolo). This institution boasts a team of 50 dedicated Nephrologists, serves over patients in follow-up, and conducts consultations per month, making it a global leader in post-transplant care. Collaborative studies have been a cornerstone of my career, allowing me to expand my horizons and connect with experts from diverse fields. Notably, the TANGO project, a multi-center collaborative effort uniting patients, clinicians, researchers, and industry partners, has yielded impactful international publications, shedding light on glomerular diseases after kidney transplantation. Currently, I am pursuing my post-doctorate in glomerular disease at UNIFESP, building on my Master’s and Doctorate degrees achieved at the same institution (2015/2019). My journey began with a bachelor's degree in Medicine from PUC-PR in 2007.
