Confident leader, passionate creator, purpose-driven big idea generator, visual storyteller, and well-spoken media personality, that puts a long legacy of brand, media and marketing expertise to work for our blue planet. Compelled to leave our world better than I found it, I thrive working with like-minded organizations that are passionate about using their business for good to bring about planetary change. I combine 25+ years of marketing, public relations, digital media, product development, e-commerce, and business strategy expertise with a highly creative mind to deliver transformational results - bringing the authentic purpose of organizations to life, improving performance, strengthening mission, and producing a positive impact on a global scale. Extremely adept in both the for-profit and nonprofit worlds and a serial entrepreneur, I’ve started several successful businesses, responsible for all aspects from strategy and marketing to operations and products. This includes an interactive agency I grew to $8 million a year in revenue and a family of clients that included Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes, Bentley, and Porsche. Donating much of my time to our planet, I’ve also started four marine conservation nonprofits – and fueled several others– to change the future for our oceans, sharks, and society. While all rewarding, the highlight is serving as a positive PR representative for sharks making media work in their favor, with features in global media including CNN, Daily Mirror, Washington Post, NPR, BBC, National Geographic, ABC World News, and the Today Show. Obsessed with wellness (my own, my community’s, and our blue planet’s), global adventures, and time spent underwater - especially with sharks - I am constantly inspired to live my purpose helping others reveal theirs as well, following their own passion to make waves for our shared world.
