About Julie Carter

With nearly two decades of experience as a professional in both public and private sectors, I have a demonstrated history in many facets of business, including project management, stakeholder engagement, human resources management, improving organizational performance, and strategic planning. Using strong communication skills, both written and oral, and a demonstrated ability to multitask with an aptitude to focus on detail, I prove to be a strong project manager and mature leader in the face of complexity. I am experienced in the environmental services industry, non-profit organizations, and government, and skilled in public speaking, leadership, and event planning. Collaboration is one of my core values. I am passionate about working with people and I have a desire to see others succeed. My vision for my life is to encourage and support others to develop their potential, and to assist them in identifying passions and opportunities to discover and experience true joy. I enjoy connecting and creating linkages between individuals and ideas, and I facilitate connections between people and the tools they need to get the job done. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with mentors who have instilled in me a desire to continually learn and improve, not only myself, but the organizations I work for as well. My Bachelor of Business Administration is from Acadia University in Nova Scotia. I completed the Project Management Certification (PMC) program at NAIT and the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Foundations Program for Public Participation. I received a Master of Arts in Leadership from Trinity Western University in British Columbia.
