About Julie Ekstrom

I’m an inventor, designer, and entrepreneur with a passion for creative problem-solving and a knack for turning ideas into reality. My journey began with a personal need, which led me to create the Rumparooz One Size Cloth Diaper - a product that revolutionized the global cloth diaper industry with my four-time patented dual inner gusset leak protection technology. I thrive on blending function with creativity, whether I’m sketching new designs, building prototypes, or collaborating with like-minded brands. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of growing Kanga Care from a small kitchen-table project into a global brand, and I’ve loved every step of the adventure - from product development to marketing campaigns. When I’m not designing or dreaming up new ideas, you can find me dabbling in creative hobbies, lost in a book, exploring nature, or brainstorming my next big project. I’m endlessly inspired by the balance of art, functionality, and the small, meaningful ways we can make life better for others. I'm also hopelessly addicted to Pinterest.
