About Julie Faude

My professional life has focused on children and their parents and adults in transition since I decided to become a psychologist. Attachment and its motivator, love, are the kinetic powerhouses in psychology. I was lucky enough to be in the midst of that fire daily working with young students, their teachers, and parents at The Episcopal Academy (retired 2021) and in private practice. Having always understood that the greatest potential for change occurs when people genuinely care, I have sought to capitalize on the open-mindedness, and the need and desire to do things differently than the previous generation, that parents of young children invariably feel. As the years have gone by, I have expanded my developmental perspective to include the role of teachers and school structures in children's unfolding. My professional journey has always involved some elements of early intervention, and it has been a great marriage as I am making the most effective use of my time on earth to serve others. I am committed to working with Internal Family Systems (IFS) as it intersects with mindfulness training in the educational (a non-therapeutic version adapted for educators) and psychological fields (through private practice).
