About Julie Freeman

With over 25 years of experience in education and regional development, I am passionate about creating opportunities and empowering communities in Western Australia. As the President of The Nationals WA, I work with a diverse and dedicated team of parliamentarians, members, and stakeholders to advocate for the interests and needs of regional WA. I was a board member of Geraldton Grammar School from 2015 - 2024, contributing to its growth and excellence. As the immediate past Board Chair of Geraldton Grammar School, I had oversight of the strategic direction and governance of a high-quality independent school that offers a holistic and inclusive education for students from diverse backgrounds. I have a strong background in curriculum development, education, and leadership, having completed the Signature Leadership Program from Leadership WA and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Curtin University. I am committed to making a positive difference in the lives of people and communities in regional WA, and to bringing my skills, experience, and vision to the national political arena. I now step up once more as The Nationals WA endorsed candidate for the Legislative Council.
