About Julie Hester
I am the department chair of the Computer Science/Information Technology department at Tarrant County College. I also teach Cisco CCNA, database, C++, and Python programming courses. I love helping students gain job skills and obtain industry certifications. IT is a great field for me because I enjoy learning new things! Each semester, I update my courses to reflect new technologies and feedback from students. I believe active learning is essential in technology fields, and I encourage students to participate in classroom demonstrations. I love working with IT students and watching their technical skills blossom.
