A grounded and experienced nursing professional in the field of medicine who now focuses on integrative medicine and socioeconomic programs that benefit humanity as a whole. Conventional Western Medicine has failed our Healthcare system(s) and humanity and it is a time for an awakening to the methods of treatment that work best for health and individualized wellness. She believes that "Education is the Key" in removing the stigmas associated with Cannabis- the Gateway to Health. Since January 2010, when cannabis was introduced to her, and then in 2014 in her professional life when she went to her first 'Patients Out of Time" Conference in 2014, she understood what this plant was truly about and created and/or assisted and founded organizations to educate the people such as but not limited to: WECAN (Wellness Educaton Canabis Activists of Nevada), Nevada Cannabis Nurses Association, Cannabis Nurses Magazine and Media, Cannabis Nurses Network and Conferences, Coalition of Patient Rights of Nevada (CPR-NV) and has been nominated to be on or speak on many boards of other organizations to provide correct information and education to eliminate the misconceptions of Cannabis. After a decade of studies in Cannabis, the tides are now changing and patients are discussing and using other plant-based medicines to combat mental illness, PTSD, depression and anxiety after a world of COVID. In order to keep them safe, she is focusing on all plant-based medicines (psilocybin, psychedelics, ibogaine, ketamine and more) as patients begin to awaken and utilize these ancient modalities and want to know more about the hidden knowledge of plant-based medicines. Mrs. Monteiro is a licensed Registered Nurse, Educator, Leader and Medical Innovator in Medicine and follows after the footsteps of her innovating family, her grandfather, who created the 'KEY'(yes the key on your keyring to open locks) which has touched millions of people around the world. She believes that "Education is the Key" in redirecting our healthcare system to foster the proper change needed to realign our healthcare sytems.
