Background
About Julie Platt
An experienced fundraising leader who specialises in visitor attraction charities and science organisations. Currently busy setting up SAMS' first ever philanthropic fundraising function (in 140 years!) & looking forward to sharing our new direction with the world! Proud to have headed up the award winning fundraising team at the UK's most popular zoo, Chester Zoo; and in 2020 enabling over incredible donors to raise over £3.6m in donations alone during the COVID response campaign 'Save Our Zoo'.With experience of generating revenue & capital funds in a wide range of cultural organisations including museums, theatres & art centres, I thrive from nurturing a sustainable, creative and organisationally joined-up fundraising approach. My focus is always on ethical & responsibile fundraising, with the goal of creating joyous and inspiring donor relationships.
