About Julie Sandusky

I have been designing, creating and building things since a child. As the youngest of nine children, I established my independence at a young age creating unique products for friends, family and others. I launched Idea Chíc in 2009 to create chic style stationery and products. All products are created in-house. We manage and control the whole process and operate high quality letterpress and flat style printing along with bindery and die-cutting. My husband David joined me full time in 2013 as part of our dream to operate a creative product business in the retail industry. Prior to Idea Chíc, my entrepreneurial ventures started early with JS Design in 2003. I loved designing custom wedding invitations but wanted to build a stationery and product brand. After a number or years of cross over I shut down JS Design to focus on Idea Chíc. After high school, I was accepted as an Up with People cast member where I traveled the world living with host families, performing and providing community service with young people from more than 69 countries. Upon my return home to Denver, Colorado, I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I worked as an event planner and designer for several years in the tourism, educational and theatrical industries
