Pivoted to a career in the nonprofit sector after an accomplished career in telecommunications. I reassessed where I wanted to focus my talent and realized that poor governance inhibits the thriving of businesses and people. My purpose is to solve problems and remove barriers for organizations to function optimally, serving our communities so society flourishes. I read on subjects from economics, politics, and philosophy to global geopolitics and best practices. HOW - Delivering Results In my former career, I was a Global Sales Director and National Account Manager for Fortune 500 telecommunications firms and startups, including Lucent, WorldCom, and uReach Technologies. These roles inspired an ardent appreciation for effectiveness and efficiency. Leveraging considerable business skills, experience, and education in multiple disciplines forged in organizational structures from S&P 500's to startups, I mobilize organizations to move quickly and achieve positive change. SELECT ACHIEVEMENTS Revived a company after the owner passed away quite rapidly from cancer, utilizing all my business experience and skills to carry the company through a difficult time and forward to years of success. Advocated for constituents encountering issues with state agencies. Oversaw case management involving child support, Medicaid, food stamps, unemployment insurance, and more. Organized a local community and stopped a “rain tax” on stormwater management where funding intentions were undefined. Assisted in legislative research and formulation.
