About Julie Smith

As a therapist at New Horizon Counseling Center, I provide individual, marriage and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, using evidence-based modalities and a client-centered approach. I have a master's degree in social work and hold both LMSW and LCSW credentials, which demonstrate my commitment to professional development and ethical standards. With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I have developed competencies in CBT, client centered therapy, trauma focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, play therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. I have worked with diverse populations and settings, including adoption, homelessness, inpatient psychiatric setting, PHP/IOP program, and utilization review. My mission is to help clients overcome their challenges, improve their well-being, heal trauma and achieve their goals.
