SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS: American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN): Drove bipartisan legislation and passed HB 85 in the Georgia General Assembly with nearly unanimous support to expand access to biomarker testing that matches diagnosed patients with the most effective treatment, which ultimately saves lives and money, as the Government Relations Director for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network. Daiichi Sankyo, Inc: Developed and advanced the legislative and communications strategy, mobilized a key advocacy network, and successfully passed the Florida Cancer Treatment Fairness Act that allows cancer patients equal access to oral and IV chemotherapy, eliminates the disparity in patient out-of-pocket costs and grew the organization’s oncology business as the Associate Director, State Government Affairs at Daiichi Sankyo. Sanofi (Formerly Sanofi-Aventis): Inspired and influenced the creation of the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPARx) national program by passing model legislation in Minnesota that provided indigent patients with access to free/discounted medications and averted costly legislation to the industry as the Senior Manager, State Government Relations at Sanofi; Co-Chair, Minnesota PhRMA State Task Force Leadership. GlaxoSmithKline (Formerly Glaxo Wellcome): Established the Minnesota Senior Drug Program; devised strategies that increased state funding, enhanced patient eligibility, provided discounted prescription drugs to senior citizens, and avoided price controls as the Regional Government Affairs Manager at GlaxoSmithKline; Co-Chair, Minnesota PhRMA State Task Force Leadership.
