CPSM CPSD Certified Over the years of my career I have face many projects that procurement professionals never have the opportunity to experience. My early career I procured and negotiated for one of the largest electrical contractors which included lock and damn jobs throughout the USA, this included the largest lock and damn prototype that the Army Corp of Engineers developed. Excitedly I have worked as a collaborative team member to implement reengineering and quality management changing the dynamics and efficiencies of the company and processes. I have been fully trained to facilitate, break down processes to eliminate waste and build working teams allowing them to move forward beyond misconceptions and potential bottleneck issues. I've had the opportunity to develop a centralize procurement department from paper to computerized integration through an ERP system. Bringing the procurement into the circle allowed the job cost management, inventory and financials to link into one robust system. I moved forward with supplier partnership programs, manufacturer cost savings seasonal programs and developed hard cost savings along with soft. My first purchasing position was with a corporate wholesale house that gave me direct knowledge and understanding of material management and inventory auditing. This first step was enhanced as I moved forward through my career. Now with 30+ years of strategic negotiations, inventory and management, which includes multiple employees, departments, aspects of over lapping duties and hiring I am ready for the next challenge. I bring strong partnering and team building skills with successful savings to each employer. I am strategic in negotiations, supplier relationship building and vetting. I am successful in stakeholder development and understand where procurement fits between the internal and external partnerships. I will provide expertise in contract language and positioning contracts to protect from risks. I am conscious in all aspects of risk profiling and risk assessment, as well as using data analytics to support decisions, evaluate and build KPI's. Our economy has handed my profession it's most trying obstacles. They are hard but being diligent, bulldogging and not giving up is required when the supply chain has move to a crawl. It has educated me quickly on unpredictable economics, international procurement, waterway logistics and customs. I look forward to the lessons and accept the challenge. It's called passion.
