In 2019 I re-joined the traditional work-force after years running my own high-end jewelry design business and website, White Tideline Designs. Prior to that, I spent over two decades helping grow and develop the award-winning, international adventure travel company, Wilderness Travel. While there, I helped develop systems, company culture and core values as Operations Manager overseeing 8-10+ Area Managers (geographic 'areas'​), 100+ different itineraries of multiple departures each in a hectic, but rewarding work environment. I believed in an empowering management style; a solution-based and constructive, creative approach to problems with a collaborative team-building spirit. Low turnover by staff under my supervision was proof-positive of a high morale & a remarkably productive, high quality job performance by a happy, albeit busy staff. In 2019 I was delighted to join the team at Rundles & Associates, an Event Planning company located in the San Francisco Bay Area and whose clients were mostly non-profits. My work focused on the online and silent auctions using special software. I sourced and followed up donation requests, wrote copy for each auction item, pulled photos or graphics for auction items. I managed and developed client's social media accounts - Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - writing content and responding to comments and questions from the public. I was part of the hospitality team at the gala events ~ Lindsay Wildlife Experience's Faces of Wildlife and ABC7's Dan Ashley's non-profit,'Rock the Casa.' Most recently, in 2021, I am delighted to have joined the amazing team over at Mountain Travel Sobek, the iconic, Original American Adventure Travel Company, returning to the industry that raised me. Seven months on staff, thus far, I can say I have found my tribe - great management, strong, cooperative and super positive team and the work brings me endless joy! Aside from my past work at Wilderness Travel, I have also been a stage & voiceover actress (SAG pending), hired by Sony Interactive, Atari, American Greetings Online, etc. I have travelled the world to places off-the-beaten-path & seen two Total Eclipses of the sun; had two children; am an entrepreneur designing jewelry for the luxury market, write copy for my website and online venues; am a ghost-writer for friends & neighbors. I own waterfront property on an island in B.C, love dogs, gardening, Lost Wax casting, my kids, road trips, theatre and music of all kinds. And I love to travel. And work.
