The most exciting aspect of my job is applying analytical frameworks to aid complex decision making, something I gained a reputation for through corporate M&A and have further applied in strategy and portfolio management. My work proposing practices for allocating resources across Covidien's was praised as "some of the best work ever"​ at Covidien. I earned a bachelor's in aerospace engineering at the US Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, and served as a naval officer in Italy, Germany, Panama and in the Desert Shield Operation in the Persian Gulf. I graduated with an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, after which I worked in international banking (London and Zurich, Goldman Sachs) before moving to finance and mergers & acquisitions (McData, MWH, Covidien).
