About Julien Dupas

My passion for filmmaking started back in high school, when I bought a camera for the first time and realized how powerful visual storytelling could be. What began as a hobby quickly became something deeper once others saw my talent bloom. I view filmmaking as a way to express emotion, capture truth, and connect with people through image and sound. Now, as a Cinema and Television Arts major at Elon University, I’m continuing to grow that passion into a craft. Since being here, I’ve worked on music videos, documentaries, short films, and brand spec commercials. Along the way, I’ve been honored to have my work recognized by the BEA Film Festival and the Mightier than the Sword Awards. I’ve developed a love for cinematography and color grading. I work primarily in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, and I’ve shot with cameras like the RED Komodo, Canon C70, and Blackmagic 6K Pro. Whether I’m behind the camera or in post production, I aim to create images that move people. I’m always looking to work on projects that tell meaningful stories and challenge me to grow as an artist. If you’re working on something that combines strong storytelling with a cinematic vision, I’d love to connect.
