About Julien Manka

To solve or not to solve, that could be the question. Looking at my previous roles and achievements, I would say, retrospectively, that I am a problem solver. Whatever the domain or context : Sales, HR, Banking, it was all about reading, listening, decrypting, rephrasing and, challenging the existing. Finding a way out of a situation and persuade others to follow us until we reach our goal. I like simple things, I like when things do make sense. I have a tendency to say « Why? Why? Why? » and as a consequence when I dig into a topic I end up not too far from being an expert. I am an investigator, I keep notes of every detail and process the same way I was saving press articles in my childhood about major sports events. I am a teacher, when I know something, I like to pass it on to the next generation in my own style : non-boring. I like to give a hand and I when I think about it, I always did. I remember in my very young age I was called by our not-so-old neighbours to setup their brand new windows 95 computer, or beat the boss of a video game for a fiver (true story) Somewhere I am a writer, I am a speaker. Yes, I like to tell stories. It does not mean that I am a non-stop chatterbox. I do need introversion time to think and recharge. But I do enjoy designing presentations for training or our project achievements. I have a superpower, a sense of humour, I keep distance between what is important or not in personal and business life and it does help to take decisions. Finally, I said I like simple things, you can easily talk with me about yesterday’s news or sports results at the coffee machine, so it is probably why I can fit easily with my team members at work (I hope they think the same)
