Julien Paul Bourgon is a seasoned executive and accomplished entrepreneur with over 25 years of leadership experience in the entertainment industry. Recognized for his expertise in media financing, film production, and post-production, Julien combines a strong creative vision with disciplined financial acumen to deliver success across global markets. Julien began his career after graduating from ESRA Cinema School in Paris, where he served as a sound mixer and editor, collaborating with renowned French directors and producers. His early contributions include critically acclaimed works such as the award-winning film Paris (directed by Cédric Klapisch), the iconic comedy La Vérité Si Je Mens (directed by Thomas Gilou), and the celebrated television series Maupassant (directed by Claude Chabrol). These formative experiences laid the foundation for his future leadership and entrepreneurial ventures. In 2007, Julien co-founded LUXART, a Paris-based post-production house, marking the inception of his entrepreneurial journey. Building on his industry expertise, he co-founded TDP FILMS in 2010, an international production service company. As Managing Partner, Julien led TDP Films’ transformation into a globally recognized leader in production services. Under his leadership, TDP Films expanded its footprint to the U.S. in 2013, establishing a Los Angeles office, and by 2016, the company had operations in Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Prague, and Shanghai. Recognizing the evolving needs of the entertainment industry, Julien spearheaded the diversification of TDP Films in 2018 by launching a financial arm dedicated to sourcing production funds and co-producing feature films and series. This initiative further solidified TDP Films’ reputation for delivering exceptional value, with Julien serving as Executive Producer on multiple high-profile projects. In 2023, Julien was offered to join BANC OF CALIFORNIA as Senior Vice President: Media & Entertainment. In this role, he leverages his deep industry expertise to drive financial growth, innovation, and strategic partnerships, supporting producers, studios, and corporate clients in navigating the dynamic media and entertainment landscape. A dual citizen of the United States and France, Julien is deeply committed to advancing the entertainment industry while upholding its integrity. Known for his visionary leadership and dedication to fostering innovation, he resides in West Hollywood, California, with his family, continuing to shape the future of the entertainment sector through collaboration and excellence.
