About Julien Vu

I'm a Staff Engineer and Frontend Lead who loves diving into code while helping other developers level up. I spend my days working with modern web tech and figuring out how to build things that actually work well for users. Over the years, I've worked with Angular, Vue and React, but these days, I'm enjoying Svelte, Node and GraphQL. I love testing new frameworks and diving into the latest tech to see what actually improves how we build things. Setting up workflows and procedures that genuinely make sense and don't frustrate the team is something I consider a lot when it comes to the developer experience. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my job has been helping to expand our frontend team from just me to six skilled devs. I'm a strong believer in mentoring, skill development, and ensuring that everyone feels heard. I've witnessed time and time again that happy teams produce good code. What I'm good at- Frontend architecture and modern JavaScript (especially the fun stuff)- Full-stack dev with Node.js and GraphQL - Leading teams without being that micromanaging person - Making websites actually fast and user-friendly - Working well with product and design folks (we're all on the same side!) I genuinely enjoy tackling tricky technical problems and building teams that create things people love using. Always down to chat with other engineers about what we're all working on.
