About Juliet Ojo

I am a passionate and dedicated MA Social Work student with a background in project management, healthcare, and customer service. Holding an MSc in Tourism, I bring a diverse and global perspective to my work. My current roles at Home Group and Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) allow me to support individuals in achieving independence and well-being. My experiences include:* Working in healthcare and support roles, providing compassionate care and empowering vulnerable individuals.* Advocating for student voice, inclusion, and equity as a student communities officer.* Completing my Social Work placement, which has provided me with more knowledge to advocate for service user rights through person-centred approaches.* Applying transferable skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and communication to make a meaningful impact.* Completing my internship as an EDI Policy & Strategy Reviewer at Sunderland Counselling Service, where I developed strategic recommendations to improve accessibility and inclusion. So, as I continue to train to become a qualified Social Worker, I aim to utilise my knowledge, empathy, and values to foster social justice and create positive change in society.
