About Juliette Lee

When the way you’ve always led stops working, more effort isn’t the answer — a different kind of leadership is.Through bespoke programmes and immersive retreats, I support deeper shifts in how leaders think, relate and lead — and how this shapes alignment, decision-making and performance across the wider organisation. This work goes beyond capability-building. It surfaces the underlying patterns that influence how leaders and teams operate — especially under pressure.Over the past two decades, I have worked with senior leaders through mergers, cultural transformation, and strategic realignment. I have seen firsthand the limits of conventional leadership approaches — and the deeper capacities needed when familiar ways of operating breakdown. My work includes designing and facilitating 80+ retreats for CEO peer organisations such as Vistage and EO, for which I received an industry award. I have also worked with organisations including Grass Valley, Thermo Fisher, and Gestamp, supporting leadership effectiveness through periods of significant change and complex cultural dynamics.Alongside this, I curate The Awakened Leader Retreat, a four-day immersive programme for senior leaders at pivotal moments in their leadership. My podcast The Awakened Leader, explores these themes further — focusing on the inner work that shapes leadership and culture. I began my career as a chemical engineer, later holding senior roles with ICI, DuPont, and Zeneca during major periods of M&A transition. This allows me to work at both a strategic and systemic level, bringing together commercial rigour, psychological depth and organisational insight, informed by decades of contemplative practice. My own journey informs this work. I grew up in working-class Glasgow council tenements and experienced a profound turning point at 30 that redirected my path and led me into coaching. That shift continues to inform how I support leaders navigating transition and change. Outside of work, I have a deep love of horses and poetry. I divide my time between Edinburgh and Granada, where I ride in Las Alpujarras and develop my Spanish. My poetry has appeared in various publications and I aspire to write in Spanish too.Ready to lead differently? Let's begin a conversation.Contact: juliette@juliettelee.co.uk
