About Juliette Tinker
Dr. Juliette Tinker, Ph.D. has been a faculty member in the Department of Biological Sciences at Boise State University since 2005. She graduated from the Department of Microbiology at the University of Iowa in and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2004. Her research focuses on the development of novel vaccines to prevent Staphylococcus aureus systemic disease in humans and mastitis, or infection of the udder, in dairy cows. Dr. Tinker has been awarded USDA funding to develop a bovine S. aureus vaccine, and Idaho state funding to construct dissolvable microneedles for transcutaneous vaccination. Dr. Tinker has also co-founded a start-up company, Pentamer Biologics LLC, in 2020 to help translate this research into products to promote animal and human health.
