With over 30 years of work experience in the radio industry, I am a passionate and skilled news reporter and station manager with a mission to inform, educate, and entertain diverse audiences. I have a strong background in journalism, copy editing, and broadcast journalism, and I enjoy producing quality news and public affairs programs that reflect the voices and stories of the communities I serve. I am currently the station manager at WVAS FM 90.7, the voice of Alabama State University, where I lead a team of talented and dedicated professionals who share my vision and values.In my previous role as a news reporter at iHeartMedia/The Black Information Network, I planned, wrote, edited, voiced, and produced news broadcasts for multiple platforms, using digital audio editing software and meeting crucial deadlines. I also repackaged content for newscasts and prepared written, visual, and audio material for websites, blogs, and social media. I was responsible for covering a variety of topics, such as politics, health, education, culture, and sports, and I always strived to deliver accurate, relevant, and engaging news to the listeners. I also hosted a talk show and worked closely with other talk show hosts in creating compelling and informative public affairs programming. I am proud of the impact and recognition that my work has received, and I am eager to continue learning and growing as a news reporter and station manager.
