About Jun Shibata

I am a technical support engineer with over 17 years of experience in open system infrastructure, currently working at Datadog in a technical support role. Previously, I spent 2.5 years at SaaSpresto, where I was responsible for supporting the Japan market rollout of LogicMonitor, a SaaS-based IT monitoring and observability platform. My responsibilities included not only implementation assistance and customer guidance, but also advanced troubleshooting, log analysis, reproduction testing, and even investigating internal collector source code to identify root causes of complex issues. I’ve often tackled problems that even the vendor’s global support struggled to resolve, leveraging repeated hypothesis-testing cycles and deep domain knowledge across servers, networks, virtualization, databases, and cloud services. My strength lies in my ability to understand what really matters to customers and provide effective solutions that span multiple technical domains. Currently, I’m undergoing onboarding training at Datadog, but I’m eager to apply my LogicMonitor experience to the world of observability and support customers by bridging the gap between development and operations.
