I have been working in General Insurance for over 19 years. Started from entry level sales and service broker and moved to Senior Sales specialist with experience. I was keeping up to date with various industry related continuous education courses and trainings. That paved a way for me to become subject matter expert and I got into a role of training newcomers frontline sales brokers. Providing them technical guidance, expert advice and review and oversee their work. I progressed into a role of Underwriter and now Senior Underwriter with one of the biggest direct writer insurance provider in Canada. In my current position, I have gained essential experience and acquired necessary skills of Underwriting and always keen to improve on positive notes. It has been a great journey with absolutely great learning platform. As a Senior Underwriter, my core responsibilities include, in depth assessments of E&O, detail review for VOID coverage, working with Fraud Investigations on suspiciously flagged policies and re-underwrite, working with Claim Department providing expert Underwriting advice and collaborate in resolving complex claims. I possess great interpersonal and communication skills that are necessary to be an effective team player.
