About Jungchae Kim

I am currently Head of Technology Development in the Product Innovation Division at AITRICS, leading the technical strategy and architecture for AI-driven clinical decision support systems (CDSS) and EMR-native medical data platforms. My work centers on building scalable clinical AI infrastructure aligned with HIMSS EMRAM standards, implementing HL7/FHIR interoperability, and advancing LLM-based clinical documentation and reasoning capabilities.I earned my Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Yonsei University College of Medicine, specializing in multimodal cardiovascular biosignal analysis and quantitative clinical modeling. At LG Electronics, I developed and commercialized AI-based healthcare technologies, including sleep apnea detection, drowsiness monitoring, and cuffless blood pressure estimation, gaining full lifecycle experience in medical AI productization and embedded systems.At TWAVE, I served as Chief Technology Officer and later as Research Director, leading data platform architecture and business modeling strategy through the company’s Series B growth phase. I focused on quantitative revenue modeling, scalable system design, and operational automation, while formalizing monetization logic into a structured IP portfolio that supported sustainable expansion and contributed to the company’s path to break-even.My career integrates medical AI research, large-scale data engineering, and technology leadership, with a focus on deploying reliable and interoperable AI systems in real-world healthcare environments.
