About Junichi Watanabe

I have joined the Niigata Engineering Co, Ltd. In 1981, one of Japanese EPC company at Process Engineering Division. Based on process simulation and basic design, I have been in charge of engineering and designing of multiple oil refinery plants and chemical plants, and conducting commissioning work at site. I have changed to SimSci Japan Ltd. In 1993 when Simulation Science in the United States has decided to have Japan blanch office, as technical sales and technical support of the process simulator "PRO / II" at the time, and then online optimization software "ROMeo" was developed and after that I was engaged in the execution of optimization projects throughout Asia and then I was engaged in project management later on. After that, I became in charge Japan Operation Manager and Project Manager for the management of all projects in Japan. Projects in Japan are included management of all OTS projects (operation training simulator) as PM, later on projects of SPIRAL such as crude oil assay data management software project, SPIRAL PLAN project which is a production planning (LP) tool, and SPIRAL Scheduler project. And also, in parallel, I have provided a lot of consultation for Refinery optimization and pre-sales support in APAC. When Schneider Electric has established Schneider Electric Software Japan Co, Ltd. In April 2017, I was in charge the representative director of the company. In 2018, I have moved to Yokogawa Electric Advanced Solution General Manager Global Consultation
