About Junxin Chen

I am currently a visiting scholar at MIT. I worked as a postdoctoral associate at LIGO MIT. Before starting at MIT, I got my PhD’s degree at Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen on the topic of quantum optomechanics. My expertise is in interferometric sensing of mechanical motion, the measurement technology used in gravitational wave detectors like LIGO. This involves quantum metrology, quantum control and quantum sensing. I am seeking for the opportunities to use my experience and knowledge to advance the booming quantum industry or other high technology fields involving optics. Working with quantum optics for 10 years equips me with extensive technical experience in optics, RF and microwave electronics, low noise laser interferometry, quantum control, data analysis etc. My communication skills are proved through inter-disciplinary and cross-institute collaborations with theorists, experimentalists, engineers, technicians, and suppliers. My scientific communication ability are further proved by 8 publications and more than 10 presentations worldwide.
