About Junya Kitamura

My major technical fields are "coatings" and "inorganic materials". Based on them, I'm currently working as R&D maneger for developing "thermal spray powders", mainly carbides and ceramics, as well as applying novel powders to novel thermal spray processes, such as cold spray, warm spray, suspension spraying. My current job descriptions not limited in R&D are as follows. Responsible for R&D activities of all projects in the dept & playing as a project leader in some specific projects required high expertise 2. Responsible for intellectual property strategy, such as patent applications, actions against other companies’ patents 3. In charge of tough negotiation for contract, such as non-disclosure agreement and joint development agreement, with clients, suppliers, universities & institutes, collaborating with legal dept. Develop new business opportunities with promoting our product/technologies from first contact to potential customers in particular Europe and North America 5. Responsible for promoting our activities to the thermal spray societies through domestic/international academic conference as well as submitting scientific papers to make opportunities of new business and project with potential customers 6. In charge of technical referee to review submitted manuscripts for scientific papers requested by international/domestic thermal spray societies 7. In charge of developing new supply chain, such as establishing new suppliers and customers for thermal spray material 8. In charge of ISO/JIS standard development and maintenance for thermal spray technology as technical expert assigned by Japan Thermal Spray Society and Japan Thermal Spray Association
