About Junyan Tian

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan. I received a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State University. My core competencies are statistical data analysis using R, Python, SAS and SPSS programming. As a Researcher, I have collected, entered, and analyzed both qualitative and quantitative data focusing on individuals' cognition, health, and everyday activities. I have conducted data analyses for both longitudinal and cross-sectional data using various methods and techniques, such as usability testing, A/B testing, linear regression, structural equation modeling, multilevel modeling, time-series model, and machine learning. In addition, I have completed a summer research internship at the Foundation for Traffic Safety, where I assisted in the Longitudinal Research on Aging Drivers (LongROAD) study and designed and conducted quantitative analyses on individuals' perceptions and utilization of in-vehicle technologies using R. I am passionate about applying my data analysis and research skills to address real-world problems and improve individuals' quality of life. I am eager to join a team that values collaboration, innovation, and social impact. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have a multidisciplinary background, a multicultural upbringing, and a multilingual proficiency.
