About Juri Timonen

Currently, I am working in research projects that aims to development of artificial intelligence (AI) to guide organic synthesis, development of AI tools for design of novel inhibitors of TRPA1 and in a project developing novel boron carriers for BNCT therapy of head and neck tumors. For more information about the group, please visit: I'm an enthusiastic scholar with a hands-on attitude and analytical personality. My main research interests cover organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, and drug discovery. My main interests are medicinal chemistry of cancer, especially brain tumors, and inflammation and its regulation. I have worked with chemistry of heterocycles and natural products as well as with mass spectrometry, chromatography, NMR and IR spectroscopy and computational quantum chemistry. I'm a great fan of science fiction literature, and have worked occasionally as a freelance journalist.
