Accomplished Manager of Events & Operations with more than eight years of progressive experience in the recreation and cultural sectors and presently leading operations at the University of British Columbia. Adept at the strategic management of multiple recreation facilities, developing programs with objectives to enhance facility usage, drive guest satisfaction and enhance community engagement. My professional journey brings a deep-seated passion for developing accessible and inclusive programs that go beyond delivering expected community program offerings to create innovative and impactful experiences for clients and consumers. Proven skills in developing positive collaborations with local tourism boards, community groups, local industry partners, campus & community and internal departments to champion events success and capitalize upon community impact. I currently manage a staff of 75+ employees fostering effective teamwork, staff development, performance management and high-performance culture, strong on teamwork, collaboration and personal growth. My work demonstrates a commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and a deep desire to provide services that contribute to quality of life and the depth of culture in the community.
