About Justin B. Moore

I am a Professor in the Department of Implementation Science in the Division of Public Health Sciences at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC, USA. I hold secondary appointments in the departments of Epidemiology & Prevention and Family & Community Medicine. I also serve as Vice-chair of the Department of Implementation Science. I conduct community-engaged research focused on the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based strategies for the promotion of healthy behaviors across the life span. I also conduct epidemiological research examining the determinants of health behaviors and related comorbidities. I serve as the Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice, and I am a member of the editorial boards of the journals Childhood Obesity, Obesities, Journal of Healthy Eating & Physical Activity, and the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity. As a result of my research, my colleagues and I have published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals. I have received funding as a principal investigator for my work from the National Institutes of Health, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Duke Endowment, and the de Beaumont Foundation, among others. Finally, I am passionate about supporting the diversification of the scientific workforce, and I am engaged in many initiatives that focus on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.Specialties: Health Behavior, Obesity, Community Engaged Research, Implementation Science
